Exciting, dynamic, mysterious, amusing, immensely inspirational… The legendary Robert Lobetta provided an unforgettable climax to SALON SMART, taking delegates on an adventure into his dreams, his past, his ideas, and his sharp business mind. The focus of Robert’s presentation? How to become your own brand. Here are five things we loved to learn!
1. There are three prerequisites to becoming your own brand. They are: a willingness to take risks (the courage to try the unconventional); a quest for perfection (the desire to reach a level that has not been reached before); and the power of realisation (the ability to turn ideas, imagination and dreams into reality).
2. To be a successful brand, you must always stay true to and never step away from what you are passionate about, what you are best in class at, and what drives your economic engine.
3. Make your salon a destination – not only a salon where people can get a great cut and colour. Make people look twice when they walk by. Make it all about you.
4. You are being judged on everything in your salon – from the coffee you serve and the mirrors on the wall, to the crack in your reception desk and the colour of your toilet roll. Observe what your clients observe.
5. Your staff is your brand. Collaborate! Think of yourself as the single brand, and your staff members as your multiple identities.
