At Greys, teamwork is essential to the everyday running of our salon. Therefore, we run a motivational scheme based on incentives for staff who meet their targets. By offering this, 
not only do we ensure that our targets as a salon are met, but also employee satisfaction levels remain high.

Primarily, it’s a case of coaching and guiding the individual team members in how to keep score as the week progresses. A clearly defined commission/bonus structure allows them to see exactly what they will get when they hit a predetermined target. The team member will need to know, on a Friday for example, how they need to perform to reach the next level of their bonus structure so that they do not miss a target for that day and then for that week.

The incentive may be based on an ‘up sale’ of recommended services, either retail, in-salon treatments and/or colour work. The scheme is driven by the managers at each salon to encourage the best possible service at all times.

By offering incentives, it makes for a more focused sales pattern routine and creates healthy in-salon competition between team members. A committed, hard-working team combined with constant motivation is a great formula for success!
