* Choose product suppliers
* Lease or buy equipment

* Cross-promote!
From simple manicures to full body treatments, increasing time-pressures mean that many clients would leap at the chance of getting their treatments and hair all under one roof.
The business benefits are many – existing clients can be integrated into a beauty promotion, and new clients can be brought in through word of mouth and advertising. But before you take the leap, do some thorough research!
It's important to check out the local competition – if there are local beauty salons or day spa facilities that are doing well, you might not attract enough clientele to make it profitable.
You also need to consider what exactly it is you want to offer – nails, spray tan, facials or body massages and treatments? – and ask your existing clients if they would come to you for these services. Don't be afraid to ask them where they currently go for beauty treatments and what they like to have done.
